ActiveWins: A Big Presence in the Big Smoke

21/02/2019

The dust has settled on yet another London Affiliate Conference, and the team at ActiveWins can now look back on what was once again a successful visit.

A total of 11 members of the ActiveWins Affiliates team were in the capital earlier in February for the four-day event and discussed a variety of topics such as;

  • The upcoming Cheltenham festival
  • New Betfred creative
  • The reinvention of Totesport
  • Raven – our new affiliate tracking platform

LAC is the biggest of the annual conferences, and 2019 was better than ever. Records were broken in pre-registrations, attendance, exhibitors, sponsors and speakers, and ActiveWins were on hand to make a noise about all things gaming.

A bumper ActiveWins presence could be seen at LAC 2019.

Stephanie Banks, Marketing Communications Director, was with the team in the Big Smoke and was thrilled with how the event unfolded.

She said: “We like to showcase our versatility by promoting as many of our brands as possible. This year, we gave Betfred a real push. As our flagship brand, we were keen to show off their stunning new creative, and think that the designs went down a treat.

“We also wanted to highlight the opportunities that existing and potential affiliates will have to work with Tote. Now under new ownership, the brand has been completely reinvented and now is a hugely exciting time to be involved with Tote.”

With partner brands Boost Markets and Degree 53 alongside us at the Excel London, we really did create a strong presence at the conference.

Stephanie added: “In addition to the entire Affiliate team, we also brought along representatives from our Media, Marketing Communications, Design, Analytics and Product departments.

“We were determined to leave no stone unturned so that, no matter who visits our stand, they can find the relevant person to speak to.”

The Cheltenham Festival is always a hot topic at LAC, with the conference falling just weeks before the greatest week that horse racing has to offer.

The build-up to this year’s festival has been anything but straightforward, with a recent outbreak of equine flu putting the entire week in serious jeopardy.

Luckily, it seems as though racing will go ahead, which is great news for racing enthusiasts and affiliates alike.

The Tote-sponsored horse racing game went down a treat.

Eliot Jacob, Head of Affiliates at ActiveWins, was equally as pleased with how the conference unfolded.

He said: “Cheltenham was the real buzz-word surrounding our stand at the conference. With the biggest week in horse racing just around the corner, our team focused on booking up slots and sports deals with that in mind.

“Our Tote-sponsored virtual horse racing competition not only allowed visitors to our stand to work up a sweat, but also be in with a chance of winning Cheltenham tickets. As you can imagine, there was a real buzz around our stand when people were cantering and shouting away.

“Partners were also made aware that we would be moving over to a new tracking platform, known as Raven. We take pride in making our affiliates feel at ease and were delighted with their reaction to the switch.”

March may be a stellar month in the ActiveWins affiliate programme, but there are fantastic opportunities to boost your conversions throughout the entire calendar.
