ActiveWins at York Races

Yesterday, we attended York Races with our friends from Betfred and Google. Enjoying the royal treatment, we were sat in the VIP box of the Ebor stand.

Dressed in our finest, we boarded the mini bus after breakfast in high spirits eagerly anticipating what the day had in store for us.

Upon arrival, we were greeted and shown to the hospitality suite. The first race began at 1.55pm and after much deliberation and research everybody placed their bets. The favourite was Tasleet, and lo and behold, it won – we couldn’t have asked for a better start!

Unfortunately, the next race was not as successful with many of us losing the bet, but we certainly didn’t let that dampen our spirits. We headed downstairs to the finishing post to watch the next race and take in the ladies day atmosphere.

There was plenty of food and drink supplied; spiced chicken rolls, salmon, prawn skewers and pork belly to name a few. We were even treated to afternoon tea and miniature desserts including lemon posset, eton mess and even Christmas trifle.

After all the races, we enjoyed a few more drinks and mingled before we headed back to Manchester. Some of us might have been down in money, but we certainly weren’t down in spirits. We had an amazing day, and even the British weather held up.
